Hi everyone
I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas and got spoilt by the big boy in the red suit. I certainly did so I must have been good this year hehehehe
I thought I would share a few happy snaps with you all the first is of Poss, opening some Kelly Clarkson tickets, a little disappointed she has to wait until April.
The next is of myself, ugh, and my closest friend Paula, one each of the twins the first is Craige in red jim jams, then Luke. The last picture is Scout who of course get a little something from Santa, it's a shame she destroyed it within seconds, Scallywag!
After all the celebrating that's been going on I decided today is going to be a very lazy day with no house work of any kind (if the kids are lucky I might feed them....LOL) I'm not even getting out of my jim jams.
Well, that's it for me I'm going to do a bit of a blog hop, have a swim later and watch a bit of the box (T.V.) oh what a hard day I have lined up.....lol.
Take care

My Poss turned twelve

Hi Everyone,
Just a quick post tonight just had to add these Happy snaps to my blog. They are of my babies on Friday morning whilst opening Possums birthday presents and of course Scouts in there to, she is such a nosy bugger. It has been an extra long weekend for Poss, she had her friend stay over Saturday night and her best friend, Beau also turned twelve today and his parents took them both to the movies.
Must go its very late and I still have uniforms to iron.
Take care

Another Box

Hi Everyone,
I know, it's about time I had another post. I'm feeling a lot better this week with only a few head spins a day so hopefully in the next coming days that will be down to none a day, keep your fingers crossed for me.
I have finally completed this box for Leigh-Anne's teacher, it has taken a while because it is very hard for me to keep my head down for long periods of time so it has taken longer than usual.
I have used a Fiskars paper from the Wild Honey Collection, the paint is a Dulux paint (thanks to my hubby) called Kiwi Juice. The ribbon was from Spotlight, unfortunately it was brought by the meter and I forgot to see who made it. I have filled it with some mini sized Mars Bars YUMMY! I hope he likes it.
Anyways I'm off to cook dinner etc... and wrap up Leigh-Anne's birthday presents while she is in the shower as it is her birthday tomorrow.
Thanks for popping by

HHHHEEEEEELLLLLLLOOOOO!

Hi everyone, I'm happy to say that after a 4 day trip to hospital I'm on my way to recovery. I had Bilateral Vertigo which is due from the torn artery in my neck which happened 18 months ago, who would have thought that the artery would still be giving me problems! So, before I got rushed to the hospital Friday I made this box for my friend, Paula, for her birthday. The box is by Kaszazz. I painted it with a Dulux water based paint called Riot. The paper is by Kaisercraft and so are the pale pink flower Rhinestones. I also made a matching gift tag. I then filled it with her favourite perfume Panache. Well thanks for stopping by, with all this time on my hands I'm hoping to get a load of crafting done Thanks for popping by Maree x

Hi everyone, Just thought I would let you all know I haven't fallen off the planet, I haven't been to well lately and at this moment the Doctors are still not 100% sure why I'm so ill. I have had a few tests done and now playing the waiting game. I hope to be well enough soon to make my way back to my craft table and get some Chrissy cards done as I'm running out of time. Thanks for popping by Maree

Hello bloggers

Hi everyone,
I know it has been a while since my last posting and I have been crafting I just haven't had the time to post them. I must rename my blog to The Part-Time Blogger.
So here is the first card I have done. This is for my friends little girl, who will be turning four on the weekend. She is very much a girl who likes everything pink, fairies and flowers.
It is another Tri-fold card which I seem to be addicted to at the moment.
The cardstock is from the Glitter Pack, the butterflies are done with an ek success punch and I have added a little glitter to either the wings or the centre.
The Happy Birthday sentiment and the scalloped circles are done using my Cuttle bug.
Well, must be off, I have to take my kiddies to school and then I have to do the food shopping, ggggrrrrr.

Second post for the week, ooooooooo!

Hi Ya everyone,
Can you believe that is it Sunday already, I don't know about you but I think the weeks are going by faster and faster.
Anyways, onto my Christmas card. I took a little inspiration from my dear Cuz, aka The Crafty Goat Girl, who made a Tri-shutter card recently and I thought to myself that I should give it a go so I did, and this is what I came up with. My only problem (apart from the shocking photo) is that I got so carried away with decorating it now I don't know where to write on it :( .
The sentiment is a stamp by Stamp it which I have embossed in gold embossing powder. The flowers are created with a ek success punch, retro daisy in three different sizes. The sticker is left overs from last year, I think I purchased them from Coles, Card stock is from my very large stash and the metallic brad is also from my stash.
Many thanks for stopping by I'm off to have a quick shower before going to the airport to pick my mum up who is coming home from a holiday.

My first christmas card

Hi everyone,
Hope you are all fine and dandy.
I have had a day at home today, YIPPEE and after the house work I thought it might be a great idea if I started my Christmas cards. This is what I came up with.
The card stock is from my stash, I'm trying to use it up. I have run the dark blue card through the cuttlebug machine and embossed some dots onto it. The image is from Pollycraft. I have coloured her with my water coloured pencils and to add a little sparkle to her wings and the snow flake I have embossed them with some silver embossing powder. I know it is a little simple but I figure at least I have made a start!
I must be off now, I have to pick up the munchkins soon from school and from there take them to their Karate lessons.
Thanks for taking the time and stopping by

Howdy Strangers

HHHEEEEELLLLOOOO.
Well it has been a while hasn't it, and I really wish I had a great excuse like winning the lottery or something just as exciting but NOPE nothing like that at all, just a busy life. In need of some time out I decided to start with a new look blog and then headed off to the craft table for some me time.
I have made this card for the twins teacher, Mrs Keating, who will be leaving us in 3 weeks to have a bubby. We will miss her heaps and heaps.
I have used a Popcorn bear stamp, many thanks to Jo who lent it to me, coloured her with my water coloured pencils. The image has been cropped onto 2 different shades of purple bazzill paper purchased from Scrapbooking to Di For in Malaga. The white is a embossed white Bazzill which I have shaded with pink and blue chalks to highlight the pattern, which I hope you can see in the picture. The charm and ribbon are from spotlight. I kept the card simple because no one knows what she is having. I guess all will be revealed very soon.
Thanks so much for dropping by, I have to buzz off now and pick the kids up from school....buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Take care

Happy Birthday to me!

Hi Gals,
So sorry I haven't been around still trying to get onto a new routine with the new job, which I might add I'm loving.
Guess who got a new camera for their Birthday, yep, ME! I got spoilt rotton and had a awesome day. I was woken up by my babies who brought me a new camera, a camera case and some P.J's. Then it was off to school for them and off to work for an hour for me.
After I had finished deliverying my catalogues my mum and a dear friend, Simone took me to the pub for lunch then it was off to bingo. I had a small win, $30.00, but a win is a win no matter how little.
I have been itching to do a challenge so I can use my new camera and here it is. This is for the challenge over at One stop craft challenge where you have to use die cuts.
I have used Dark Orange Dream by ColorMates the patterned paper is by Basic Grey titled Sugared luscious all the rest of the card is from my stash. I have used my cuttlebug and my nesties for the circles and the Happy Birthday is a die cut from sizzix.
Thank you so much for dropping by I'm off for a little retail therapy with my birthday money.
Take care

Stamp Something

Hello,
WOW! I didn't realise it had been so long since my last post, tutt tutt what a naughty girl I am.
So much has happened since I last added to my blog, the biggest would be that I have now stopped working in the bakery and have started a new part time job, delivering Home Care products. I'm thoroughly enjoying myself so far and to make it even better I'm getting paid to exercise.
Any ways that's enough blabber, this is my entry for the fabulous challenge over at Stamp something. Please pop over and check out the DT's wonderful creations they are absolutely beautiful, well done girls.
So here is my take on the challenge, this week you have to use your favourite colours or papers and I have used both.
First I have used my beautiful Tilda stamp (as you all know I have a little obsession with Tilda) coloured her with my trusty water coloured pencils and added a little bit of sparkle using my Kindy Glitz on her wings and the bows in her hair. The flowered paper is one of my fav. because of the colours and the odd bit of sparkle through out the design. I'm unable to tell you who made it because in my rush to use it I chopped it off the label and now I can't read it, what a goose. The ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment was done by using my new toy, The cuttlebug and a scalloped circle Nestabilities with a Kaiser craft rub on.
Well thanks for dropping by, I'm being kicked off the computer so Poss can do her home work.
Bye for now

Just because

Hi Girls,
How are you all? I thought it was high time that "I pulled my finger out" (Have been told more than once) and do a few cards so here are the first with more to come, I hope.
I have done the backgrounds using a kaleidacolor ink pad and a brayer on some glossy card stock. This is a new technique for me and after a few goes this is what I came up with.
The ribbon is from my stash. The black Rhinestone by Kaiser Craft. The flower stamp is by Stamp In Up, the Birthday Wishes is a stamp by Stamp It and the large Happy Birthday is done using the Cuttlebug and a Sizzix Die.
So it's of to the table for a little while before the mad 5.00 pm hour hits the house.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your evening or your day depending where you are.

Allsorts challenge #16

Hello everyone,
Hope you are all fine and dandy and enjoying your day no matter where you are or what you are doing.
I'm going to start my post this evening with a bit of a whinge. I have had so much trouble lately not only loading pages but leaving comments on peoples blogs so I do apologise if people are not receiving them. I'm always leaving comments but once I hit the button to send them it freezes. I really do hope I can fix this problem and soon it's driving me crazy.
Anyways, I have done complaining this is a card that I finished yesterday but was unable to post it because the kiddies were hogging the computer. gggrrrrr.
This is my entry for the challenge over at Allsorts. This week you AREN'T ALLOWED to use rubber, so I have used one of my digi images done by Dustin Pike. I have coloured him with my wonderful water coloured pencils, popped him onto some stitched star paper by Kaszazz. The card stock is from my stash and the Happy Birthday die cut, is done with my new cuttlebug using a sizzix die cut.
Anyways, off to cook some dinner.

Secret Crafter Challenge #47

Hello everyone,
Well it has been a while since I have had the time to get to the craft table but I have been able to get into my chair this morning and do a card, let's hope it is the first of many today. This card is for the challenge over at The Secret Crafter. The challenge this time is "Flights of Fancy". (So sorry the picture is not all that great)
I have chosen to use this gorgeous little image by Pollycraft (Part of the sherbet collection) coloured her with, you guessed it, my water coloured pencils and aqua brush. The patterned paper is by Cloud9 Designs titled Fairy Princess Wands. The plain card stock is from my stash and the white card is a bazzill SB. I added a bit of stickles to her wings to add a bit of sparkle.
Well I'm off to visit my in-laws and I hope to be back later today with another card.

Guess what we got! (take two, newer photo)

I would like to introduce you to our new family member.
Her name is Scout and she is about 5 months old. She is a cross between a Red Heeler and a Pointer. Isn't she a cutie!
We got her from a fantastic organisation called S.A.F.E. . Saving Animals From Euthanasia. These people do a wonderful job in saving these babies and if you have a place in your heart for a pet please pop by their site.
We surprised the kids earlier today (I'm mummy of the year, YEH me!)
She absolutely adores the kids and I think that they think she is the ants pants too. At the moment she is trying her hardest to jump in the bath with the twins. Oh my, what have I gotten us into!
Anyways, I'm just letting you all in on the secret and I'm hoping to be back tomorrow with a few cards. I have to go save the twins.....lol
Bye for now

Monday, July 27, 2009

This is the last for today, I have had such a great day at finishing all the cards that I have started and being time challenged I haven't been able to finish until today, it's a shame I have to work tomorrow :( .
This is for another challenge this time over at Paper Take where you can pick your own colour combo. Sorry the photo is a little dark still using Possum's camera.
I have picked a maroon card (from my stash) and a very dark blue/green from the Bazzill range called Bahama. I have coloured the awesome Tilda in water coloured pencils added a bit of Kaiser craft pearl chalks, pale blue, to get rid of the stark white background and added a Prima flower with a Kaiser craft Rhinestone to give it some Bling.
Thanks again for stopping by.

Creative Card Crew #20 Polka Dots

Told ya I would be back and I hoping I will get one more card done today before tea needs cooking.
This one is for the challenge over at The Creative Card Crew where the theme is Polka dots.
I have used another one of my Tilda stamps, I have an obsession with her, coloured here my water coloured pencils and my Tom Bow pens. The dotty paper is from The Glitter stack, yep it has glitter in it, the pink card is a Bazzill card called 'Bubble Gum'. The little brass flower charm is by Francheville, the ribbon by Dashes, Dots and Checks.
O.K so I'm off again maybe back later with another finished card. Thanks for stopping by.

Well Howdy Ladies, (oh and men)
Hope we are all fine and dandy and the sun is shining brightly where ever you may be.
Well it has been an extremely busy week I'm really enjoying my new job. Don't worry Heidi I have kept away from those mouth watering cakes, it's just the pizza's that are jumping out at me saying "eat me, eat me".......lol.
Anyways, this is my entry for the super challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar. The theme this week is Swirls.
I have used some more new paper, this one is by Alison Ellis titled 'Her Birthday Swirls' it has the most beautiful glittered swirls on it, and I just love pink and lime together. I have also used a lime and pink ribbon that is made by Creation Station (can't believe how well this matches the paper).
My sweet little Tilda is coloured with my fav. water coloured pencils with some stickles on her wings to add a little sparkle.
The sentiment is from my stash as well as the card stock. The rhinestones are by Kaiser craft.
Well I'm off to finish another card for another challenge, see you (type you) in a bit.

A Few Cards

Hello there all you lovely people of Blog land,
All the kiddies are back to school today and it is so quiet in the house it's a little lonely :( .
I'm off to work shortly, I have a new job working in a friends Cafe'/bakery for a few hours today and Friday so I thought I would pop these cards onto my blog before I left. These aren't for any challenges I fell in love with this paper and just brought it, as you do. In my excitement in using this paper I have cut off the makers name and forgot to keep it, sorry. It's just gorgeous it has glitter weaved all though the rose pattern, trust me it's yummo.
I have used leather textured coffee coloured card stock from my stash (on both cards) and the gold letters are also from my stash. On the wedding card I have given it an acetate cover which I then decorated with some glittered hearts. I also popped a few on the inside, These were done using a craft punch, jac paper and Jones Tones glitter. I have keep them both simple so the rose paper stands out. Oops almost forgot the ribbon is by Wrights and has a shimmer effect to itand the rhinestones by Kaisercraft.
Well, it's that time I'm off to work keep you fingers crossed for me.
Bye for now

We are home

Hi Everyone,
As you can see I'm back from Kalbarri and gosh what a great time we had. It only rained a few days but we still got out and about. The kids had a blast with fishing, swimming ( to cold for me), kicking the footy and playing in the playground. Even though we had a fab time it is nice to be home it's just a shame that a truck load of washing followed us.
I haven't had a chance to do any cards yet, thanks to the washing, but I thought I would share a few happy snaps with you.
The first couple of photo's are of the views from the top of Red Bluff. Once at the top of the cliff you can see for miles and miles. The waves were enormous the day we went it was truly amazing. You can also see the whole town of Kalbarri at the top. We were so high it felt like you could touch the clouds.
The next photo is of my kiddies at Pot Alley, this is also part of the Kalbarri coast line.
The last photo is of the house we stayed at. It had a massive back yard and heaps of room on the inside, the best part was that it took us a 2 minute stroll to get to the beach. Each morning we would wake up to the sound of the waves hitting the beach, it was so lovely. I hope you enjoy looking at them. I will bore you with a few more tomorrow. I'm having a few problems uploading them, I had to use my daughters camera seeing mine decided to stop working day 2 of our holiday, and now Leigh-Annes camera just doesn't want to load them into my computer. I dunno modern technology tutt tutt.
Enjoy your day people and hopefully tomorrow I can finish the washing and pop by to see what you have all been up to.
Stay safe

But, before I go this is the card I made for my niece. Her birthday was a few weeks ago but because of not feeling the best I was unable to post it, so here it is.
I have used my Tilda stamp and coloured her with my water coloured pencils the card stock is from my stash the Flower rhinestones are by Kaiser craft, I think I bought them so long ago, and the gold lettering is from Spotlight. I have used my EK Success scallop punch for the edge. Everything is pink because this is her favorite colour.
Thank you so much for dropping by and I will be looking forward to dropping by all your blogs when I get back.

Stamp Something Challenge

Good morning all,
I bet you all thought that I had dropped off the planet.....lol.
As you can see I haven't I have just been very busy working, cleaning house, sport, sport and more sport with the kids. I'm over my tonsillitis, thank goodness that was just yucky, so now I'm just trying to catch up on everything so not much crafting has been done. I have managed to do a few cards this is one of them. I did this one for my friends sister and it fits in perfectly with the challenge over at Stamp Something.
The colour theme this week is black and white and one colour. I haven't used an image on this one I decide to do something a little different. I have used my Birthday wishes stamp by Stamp-it and embossed it using Versa Mark and black embossing powder. The back and white paper are from the Glitter stack, the bling is from The Paper Mill and Kaisercraft and the rest from my stash.
Well that's it from me for now I'm off to take the twins to footy. I hope you all enjoy your day and I'm hoping to pop by every one's blog later this afternoon.

Quick update

Hi Gals, Just thought I would give you a very quick update, Craige is fine the doctor that we saw, at the hospital, misdiagnosed Craige they weren't chicken pox. My regular GP, Doc. Marc said it was more like an eczema rash and that sorbelene cream will make it disappear. Low and behold it did, don't ya just love when Doc's get it wrong. So he is feeling 100% better and back at school. Me, on the other hand not so good. I still have the flu (I hope it's only the flu) and I'm off to see Doc Marc today, hopefully for some anti-biotics as it seems to be getting worse not better. I slept all night Monday night from 8.30 pm onwards and all day yesterday. I think I may have been awake for about 4 hours in total and then slept all the way through until 4.00 am this morning. Not good, lets hope the medications work. So I'm off back to bed for a snooze before heading down to the doctors surgery. Hope you are all doing better than me. Maree xxxx P.S: Heidi, I will email you in the next few days.

one stop craft challenge

Hi Girls,
Well it's the long weekend here in Australia, and it's a beautiful sunny day, but I'm inside full of the flu and feeling a little miserable.
I did manage a card last night for the challenge over at One Stop Craft Challenge. The theme , let's here it for the boys.
This is just a simple card, but it worked out quite well I think, I have used a digi stamp by Dustin Pike coloured in with my water coloured pencil and I have used some Glossy accents on his wings and belly to give him a wet look. The card stock and the kite sticker are from my stash and the sentiment is done on my trusty computer.
Well I'm off to sit on the couch and keep feeling sorry for myself.
Hope you are all well and enjoying the sunny days we all seem to be having.

Daisy and Dandelion challenge

It's me again. This is the last one for the day. My little chick-a-dees are on their way home from school.
This is so exciting this is my very first time entering one of the Daisy and Dandelion Challenges and I'm the first entry, YEAH ME!
Anyways enough of me patting my own back. My card is very simple I know but in my defence it is my third card today and that is the most I have done in a long time so my mojo is starting to fade a little.
I have used one of their super cute stickers and popped it onto some blue paper which is from my stash, the ribbon has been recycled from a gift box that had some chocolates in it (they were really yummy too)
There's the knock at the door my munchkins are home YAHOO!. Hope you have all had a fabulous day, I have, and I hope to pop on by tomorrow.

Told ya I would be back!
This entry is for the wonderful sketch over at Sketch and Stash. The rules are simple just follow the sketch.
I have used my Giggling Tilda stamp, coloured with my water coloured pencils, and I cut out her legs so they would hang over the blue card stock. The glitter flower paper is from the Glitter stack and the rest is from my stash.
The ribbon is by Wrights the blue flower is from Kaiser craft, and the blue rhinestone is from my stash. The sentiment is a rub on, "Find time to laugh out loud", they are new but I threw away the wrapper before I took note of who made them, Sorry.
Short and sweet posting I know, but I'm aiming to finish one more card today and pop that onto my blog too.
So bye for now

Papertake weekly challenge "Scrap This"

Hello,
Oh it has been so long since I last posted I got blogger withdrawals.
Craige's pesky spotties have finally gone and he is back to school, YIPPEE.
Poor little bugger, nothing worst than seeing someone you love just not feeling well and you aren't able to do anything to make them better. Never mind he is all better now and I'm able to catch up on the housework and of course plant my bottom on my craft chair.
So here is my entry into the Papertake craft challenge.
The theme this time is "Scrap This" you had to use all scrap which suited me fine as I have a huge folder of scrap papers just waiting to be used.
As you have probably guessed all the paper/card stock is from my stash including the letters. The image is by High Hopes and coloured with my favorite water coloured pencils. I have added a bit of ink to the edges and some chalk to the background to make it stand out a little more.
Well I'm heading back to my table and I hope to be back later with another entry.
Enjoy your day what ever it is that you are doing
