Happy New Year

Hello my fellow bloggers, First I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and that it was a perfect day. Myself, ours was sssoooo busy and extremely HOT! Santa found me and spoilt me with a T.V. for my craft room and I stole the kids dvd player so I'm all set. I would also like wish you all a Happy New Year and thank you for following my blog and leaving all the lovely comments. I love reading them, they always make me smile. I really wish I had more time to do more craft, BUT I have recently quit my job and now hubby is doing a fly in fly out job so I guess in 2011 there should be loads more crafting on the calender for me.....lol. I do apologise that I haven't been around lately with the job changes, kids holidays and having a little accident in the kitchen 2 weeks ago (I have nerve damage in my eye after having a fight with hot oil) I haven't had the time nor the "sight" to do any craft :( Anyways it's getting late here and the eye is starting to weep AGAIN! so I will catch up with you all in the next few days. Please take care and thank you again HAPPY NEW YEAR Maree xxx

Gosh What a Week!

Hi everyone Gosh it has been a week, but at last I have found a few moments to get some of my projects finished. This one is for my Mum (sssshhhhhh it's a secret it's for Christmas) I hope she likes it, it has taken me forever to do.
These shadow boxes by Twiddly Bitz are fantastic, they are so much fun to decorate and build.
The photo is of my Munchkins. It is the last school photo that I will get of the three of them together because Poss is off to High School next year :(
I have painted the shadow box with Bashful which is a Dulux paint. I then embossed it with a white embossing powder and then to give it a little shimmer added some Perfect Peals. The roses I have done myself, (I love doing these) using red Bazzill Card stock and added some Kindy Glitz to the edges. The pearls are Kaisercraft and the little "blobs" inside the roses are from the $2 shop.
Well I'm heading back to the table while I have the chance. The twins are occupied playing the Wii and Poss is at her friends house, I'm expecting her home very soon.
So have yourselves a super day and with a bit of luck I will be back with another finished project.
Bye for now

Hi everyone, Just a quick note to let you all know that I'm still here (I'm thinking about changing my name to Worst Blogger in Blog land) I have been super busy with one thing or another and now with hubby working up north near Karratha it is even harder to get to my craft table. I'm hoping that Saturday the kiddies will sit and watch a movie or play the Wii so I can have a few minutes/hours at the craft table, I have so many birthday and Christmas cards to do. It would be nice to enter a challenge also cause it's been a while. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Thanks for popping by Maree xxx

We Have a Winner

Well Hello every one,
I have had such an eventful afternoon. My day started off really lovely with a tad bit of crafting. Then the school called. Luke decided to fall up the stairs and face planted the side safety rail and gave himself a swollen face, right next to his eye. Poor little bugger it must have hurt. He will have a nice shiner in the morning I'm sure.
The next call was a real interesting one it was from my Hubby who applied for a job in Cape Preston (which is in the Northern Territory) and he GOT IT!!!!!!! Yahoo. Only down fall is he will be working away :( But on the plus side he is only away from home 2 weeks and gets to spend an entire week work free with me and the munchkins.
So this is why I'm a bit late in drawing the winner of my little give away. So with out any more the winner is Aussie Loz. Congrats to you, YAHOOO! If you can email me your address I will pop them into the mail. It is such a great feeling getting something in the mail other than a bill.
Well I must be off dinner is about ready then I'm off to will a few dollars in bingo, like the positive attitude....lol.
Thank you to all who entered and leaving a comment
Take care

Hi Ya everyone,
This is another box for Christmas. This one is for Leigh-Anne's teacher, Mr Frances who has quite the sweet tooth.
I have used a Dulux paint again, can't tell you the colour because I have lost the label, tutt tutt. The black and white paper is from my Glitter Stack. The chipboard "J" is from the $2 shop. Ribbon and other card stock are from my stash and a little of Kindy Glitz to blend it with the paper.
Of course I still need to add the chocolate which for Mr Frances will be Turkish Delight because I believe this is his fav.
That's it for me for now I'm off to have a crafting afternoon and hopefully finish a couple of project that I have only half done.

A Simple Card

Hi ya everyone,
First I would like to apologise for the background of my photo, as you can see my craft mat is well used and very colourful...lol
I have made this card for one of my workers who is about to leave me cause she is 4 weeks away from having her second baby boy.
I have coloured the image with my wonderful promarkers, (I have just treated myself to some newbies) the ribbon and cardstock are from my stash and the watermark is done with a rollergraph, (I think this is a SU product I'm not 100% sure I haven't used them for ages)
Just a nice simple card as I have a million and one things to make before Christmas, plus a few birthday cards.
Must go now got to get my boys off to bed as they went to bed late last night and had a very early morning this morning, little rascals.
Bye for now

First of many,Lets hope

Hello Peeps,
I know it has been a very long time since my last post, between school holidays, home renovations and my work load becoming busier and busier I'm finding it hard to find any spare time. Luckily the kiddies are back at school so that's one thing back to normal. As for work and the home reno's that's another thing....lol. I have started my Chrissy presents for the kids teachers, (they are all getting the same thing). This is for the Twins teacher who loves the colour blue. I have used Dulux "Joy Flight" to paint the box and covered it with Bella Ever After Scrapbooking paper. The "k" and the blue rhinestones are by Kaisercraft. The scalloped circle are done using my Cuttlebug and the butterflies are made using a EK Success punch. The only thing left to do is to fill it with some lollies.... yum! Lets hope she likes it.
Since my last post I had a birthday and my wonderful family bought me some Promarkers and a cute Snowman stamp (thanks Little Claires for sending them to me) so I'm off to play.
Take care and lets hope I find some more time to craft
Bye for now

Who would have thought!

Hello it's me again. Who would have thought two posts in one day!!!!
I have been working on this card for a few days now. It is for a wedding me and hubby are attending in a few weeks, I'm also entering it in the challenge over at Bizzy Bec's. The theme this month is "anything goes".
I really wanted the card to be special as we have known Gabe for many years.
I'm extremely pleased at the finished card. I'm also proud to say that all the card stock is from my stash, the roses are handmade by me using a Tim Holtz die cut. The background is made using a Flourish stamp from Kaszazz and Kindy Glitz. The letter are done using a die cut and my trusty little cuttlebug. The only thing left to do is pop the gift vougher in the pocket and write on it.
This was so much fun to do. You will be seeing lots more roses on my cards from now on.....lol.
Seeing I'm on a roll I'm heading back to the craft table
Thanks again for all the lovely comments

My favourite things

Howdy peeps,
Well I didn't realise it has been so long since my last post, seriously where does the time go?
So much has been happening. One piece of great news is that Hubby has started work, YIPPEE, so I guess that's one bit of "normal" life back.
My little man, Luke, received an honour certificate last week for all his hard work.
Leigh-Anne went to Karate Grading Sunday just gone and received her orange belt. I have popped some photos onto my sidebar.
Craige is still a cheeky little guy and finds everything funny and just goes with the flow.
The builders have been round this morning to inspect the damaged wall, again, and have said it will be another 6 to 8 week before they can start work, as the wall is still too wet POOP! One day I might have my spare room back!
Well that's enough about me, onto my entry for the challenge over at Craft Yours Days Away. The challenge is to use your favourite things.
I have made this folder following the instructions in the Magnolia Ink Magazine (I had a little splurge). The twins have a party to attend on Saturday, so for the gift I'm going to buy a movie ticket and thought this was a great idea and yep, I have used Tilda, cause she is my fav.
I have coloured her with my other fav. Promarkers. I made the roses following the instructions also in the Magnolia Ink Magazine, so much fun but very fiddly.
All the card stock and ribbon are from my stash. The butterflies are done with some Jac paper, glitter and a EK Sucess punch. The initial "T" for Tia was done with my Cuttlebug, Jac paper and glitter.
Well that was a mighty long post hope I didn't bore you to tears.
I must be off the washing machine has finished it's cycle. Take care thanks for stopping by

I have used my Tilda, of course, who is coloured with my Promarkers.
The flowered patterned paper in by K and Co. The flowers are Prima, the Rhinestones are by Kaisercraft and the rest is from my stash.
I have given the flowers a little shimmer using my Smooch Spritz I have to say I love this and I have to confess I use it all the time.

Who Stole The Sunshine?

Well G'Day Peeps,
It has been a while since I had the time to make a card let alone do one for a challenge but seeing it is a horrible rainy day outside (Who stole the sunshine?) I thought to myself it would be a perfect day to do a bit of blog hopping and enter a challenge.
This is what a came up with for the challenge over at the Paper Take Weekley Challenge. The theme this time round is to "Say it with flowers".
I have used my Tilda stamp coloured her with my Promarkers as you can see I'm still learning how to use these babies. To give her a little lift she has some 3d tape behind her. I have done the patterned paper myself using a Flourish stamp by Kasazz and a EK Success punch, also a mini punch by Kaszazz. I added a little bit of bling by Kaisercraft. The Happy Birthday sentiment is a sticker and I have coloured it with my Promarkers so they would match. The little butterflies are done with Shrinkie Dinks (thank you very much Pam for the inspiration) The card stock is from AC Card stock.
Well, it is still raining outside so off to the craft table I go and do another challenge, what a shame....lol.
Many thanks for popping by

Good morning

Hello from a bright and sunny day here in Perth.
Gosh! I have had a busy long weekend. Saturday I went to a craft fair which was a little disappointing, and that can only mean two things, I have to many craft items or it was not such a good craft fair, to be honest I would think me having to many craft items would be safe to say.............lol. Sunday was my Hubby's cricket wind up and today I have a Baby Shower to attend. So, I have had a quick visit to the craft table and whipped up a card before going to the baby shower.
This is my entry for the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday where they have a fantastic sketch to follow. I have used a lot of things from my stash, the sentiment, bazzill card stock and the ribbon. Tilda is coloured with my promarkers and the patterned paper is from The Glitter Stack. I have used the new Smooch Spritz on the frame to give it a little shimmer and the stars are made using glitter and Jac paper.
Well, that's it for now, I have to go.
Have a super day and a big thanks for popping by

Bit of a Catch Up.

Guess who got their yellow belts, Yep, that's right, all my babies. I left my memory card in my printer that afternoon so their Sensei took their photos for me so I had to wait until last night to get the photos. I tell ya if the head wasn't screwed on I would forget that too! The boys are up top, Craige is on the left Luke on the right. Leigh-Anne is in the group photo, in the middle back row. I'm so proud of them!
I also won a Polly craft prize over at Passion For Promarkers. They have a fabulous Weekend Workshop where the team shows you all the tricks to use these wonderful pens. I have learnt so much so thank you ladies for taking the time in writing up these tutorials.
I have also completed a card but will have to post it later as I need to go have some lunch my tummy is rumbling.

I did it, I did it.

Good Morning Guys and Gals,
After many attempts at doing a easel card I DID IT! So many have gone straight to the bin. The first one I did for some reason just didn't stand up straight and from there it was all down hill. To be honest I still don't think it's 100% right in the measurements.
Anyways, this is for the challenge over at Moving Along With The Times
where you have to make an easel card, it is also for a friend of mine who is having a baby shower next weekend. No-one knows the sex of the baby so I made a pink and blue card.
The card stock is a blue Bazzill, the pink pearl paper is from Scrapdivate, the image is coloured with Promarkers, ribbon from Tomorrow's Memories. The sentiment and the heart charm are from my stash.
Thanks for popping by I hope to do another posting later today, and a few happy snaps, of my boys who are going for their yellow belt in Karate in about an hour. So it's bye bye from me for now, keep your fingers crossed for Craige and Luke.

Where Does the Time Go!

Hi Guys and Gals,
I'm so so sorry I haven't been around much. It seems the harder I try to do a posting the quicker my time seems to go and I haven't done it. But, today I have gone on strike NO HOUSE CLEANING today!
Instead we have done my catalogues, visited the in-laws and now it's me time, even though it will probably be for 1/2 an hour.
Never mind I'm here now and that's all that matters. This is my entry for the fab sketch over at Moving Along With The Times. They have an awesome sketch to follow drawn by the very talented Heidi.
The brown card is from my stash. The pink paper is by Bo Bunny. The patterned paper is from The Glitter pack. The wonderful Tilda image is coloured with Promarkers and so are the flowers. The rhinestones are from The Paper Mill and the ribbon is also from my stash.
Please pop over to Moving Along With The Times and checkout their blog the DT have done a fantastic job.
Thanks for popping by, I'm off to have a shower and start tea and then a big feast on chocolate YUMMMMM!

WOW! What a Week

Hello everyone,
Hope all is well. I have had such a very busy week, unfortunately with no crafting bbbooooo! I flew home late Monday night from Melbourne had to quickly unpack and get straight back into things as Hubby flew out to Singapore late Thursday night. I have also been busy with work also, cause guess who is a Senior Distributor? Yep, that's right ME. Yahoooooooooo! So lots of paper work and phone calls, I'm a little grateful for the weekend so I can sit down and relax before Monday comes and I start as a Senior.
So I thought I would give you all a little update and share some happy snaps, the first is of myself, my good friend Paula and my Mum all dressed up to win at the Crown Casino, even though we lost we had so much fun drinking Fruit Tingle slushies. The next is of one of the many views of Melbourne from the Eureka building. This building is 88 stories high the lift gets you there in under 40 secs, my poor ears were so blocked up. We went out off the side of the building in a glass lift box it was truly amazing, but not something that you do if your afraid of heights. The last one is me with all my shopping, well a little taste of all my shopping.
That's it for me I'm off, Paula is on her way to sort out more paper work and I hope to be back later today with a few entries to some challenges. Thanks for popping by.
Bye for now

Hello Peoples,
I know it has been a few days, ok weeks since I last did a posting but have been so busy with everything from sporting rego's, working and just family commitments there just hasn't been any me time, BUT I have taken the week off because in just 13 days I'm off on a little trip to Melbourne, for some serious shopping, and I have a few things to do before I go, that and the weather here in Perth is going to be a hottish 40*C, way to hot to be in the sun. SSSOOOOOO I decide yesterday that me time has waited long enough and here is a card, WAHOOOOOO.
I have made this card for my wonderful friend Paula, who is coming to Melbourne with me and is also for the great challenge over at Crazy 4 Challenges. They have a fantastic sketch to follow so pop on over and check it out.
I have used a stamp made by Lucy Stamps and coloured her in with my promarkers (thank you Heidi for the new obsession...lol) The card stock is Bazzill, the sentiments, flowers and patterned card are all from my stash. The little bits of bling are by Kaisercraft.

Saturday challenge

Hi ya everyone,
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
I know I haven't been around lately but it's is still school holidays (they end Monday) and have been busy keeping the kiddies happy with trips to the beach, play dates, shopping for uniforms and books, swimming lessons etc....
I spent last Wednesday morning at the hospital because Luke has tonsillitis and on Monday my Doc informed me that I have a fracture in my foot so I guess it is off to have an x-ray. booo whooooooo :(
One fantastic thing that happened, was I had a great 2 hour long chat with my Cuz, Heidi aka The Crafty Goat Girl we laughed and laugh and then laughed some more , always good to have a giggle or two, or in our case 20 or 30......lol
So that's enough about my week this is my entry for a great challenge over at The Secret Crafter where the challenge is set by Wendy. You have to use hearts.
I have used a fab stamp by Pollycraft this one is part of the Sherbert collection, coloured with my Sugar Loaf markers. The blue background is sponged on with blue ink. The other multi-coloured background was done using Tim Holtz alcohol inks and applicator, the sentiment is a stamp by Kaszazz. I used some double sided tape and popped some glitter on it to create a border, this is a great idea if you can't get straight lines.
I'm off now time to start cooking my babes some tea and get them, cleaned. They are also going to clean their rooms up while I'm cooking they don't know it yet so sssssshhhhhhh it's a surprise. I can hear them moaning already.............hehehehehe
Have a super day/night and maybe I will be back tomorrow. I still have a zillion books to cover, poop!

Allsorts challenge, Pink and Brown Combo

Hi Ya everyone,
It is so hot in Perth today I can't even try to describe it to you. I have just checked the old thermometer and it reads 42*C. OMG! it is HOT, so it's indoors for us with the air con cracked up high.
So, while the kiddies are watching a movie and hubby is having a snooze I thought I would sneak off to the craft table and do a challenge.
This one is for the Allsorts Challenge where the challenge is to use a fab colour combo, pink and brown.
The pink card is a bazzill, the image tittled "Bigsby" is by Karen over at Karen's doodles (click Here to check her images out) coloured with my sugar loaf markers. To take the starkness away from the white of the image I sponged on some Close to Cocoa ink from Stampin up.
The sentiment is a stamp I borrowed from my Poss (Leigh-Anne). Thank you Poss.
Thanks for stopping by I'm of to have a nice cold glass of wine and a swim. Don't forget to checkout Karen's images they are really gorgeous and you won't be disappointed.

2nd post for the day

Hi again,

So, this is my entry for the Moving along with the times challenge, I hope I'm not to late, the challenge is to pick a previous sketch. So I have picked one that Heidi came up with back in October.
The popcorn bear is a stamp that I have borrowed from a friend, thanks Jo. I coloured him yesterday with my sugar loaf markers while the twins were in the pool. The card stock is a pale mauve bazzill. The Rhinestones are by kaiser craft, sentiment by Kaszazz and the heart paper is from my stash.
Well, the kids are driving me nuts to go back in the pool, I don't blame them it is 39*C in Perth today, extremely hot.
